Documentary event Cologne „This war does not end in Ukraine“. 06/03/2023

On Feb. 25, 2023 in Cologne, about 120 visitors discussed with Raúl Sánchez Cedillo and Isabell Lorey about emancipatory perspectives against the Russian war of aggression on Ukraine in the Kulturbunker Köln Mülheim.

In his book „This War Does Not End in Ukraine“, Raúl Sánchez Cedillo puts the creation of new institutions at the center of his political perspective. Against war and militarization, he argues for a socio-ecological common, for a democratic power from below and a constituent peace in a transformed Europe. We talk about this with Raúl Sánchez Cedillo and Isabell Lorey, moderated by Anja Hertz. English with German interpretation.

Raúl Sánchez Cedillo is a philosopher and has been a political activist in Spain since the late 1990s, working for a refoundation of Europe through a constituent process. Through the Fundación de los Comunes and the Universidad Nómada, he has been in close contact with independent artistic and political initiatives in Ukraine since the time of the 2014 Euromaidan, the uprising against the Yanukovych government.

His book This War Does Not End in Ukraine (https://transversal.at/books/dieser-krieg-endet-nicht-in-der-ukraine) is published in German by transversal texts. Online: https://www.medico.de/fileadmin/user_upload/media/dieser-krieg-endet-nicht-in-der-ukraine.pdf
